Giving In

So I've finally jumped on the the scarf bandwagon and let me tell you, it is FANTASTIC. It is snowing here right now-lightly snowing, but still, SNOW-and I refuse to switch to my super-poofy winter coat untill absolutely necessary. I pulled out my probably-too-light-for-30-degrees-Fahrenheit jacket and realized that the lovely V in the front left an awesome space for freezing breezes to blow into. I had purchased a few scarves yesterday (because I'm psychic and knew I'd need them, clearly), so I just wrapped one around my neck and voila! Instant space filler! Also, because most of my coats/jackets/etc are dark colors, I got my scarves in jewel tones, keeping in mind H's preference for me in those particular shades :), so I felt instantly less gloomy with these bursts of color in my outfit. I'm posting pictures (goodness help us all because I can never do it right), but I refuse to post anything below the waist until I have an excellent pair of boots!

  1. I'll say it again, jewel tones suit you well! That red really pops with the more neutral jacket (which, by the way, I adore and WANT!). I'm glad you're getting sucked into the scarves and high boots trend. I was slow on the uptake but I can't imagine life without those pieces. (I should show you my boot collection - it's kinda out of control!) My recommendation would be to order those boots online (especially if you can get free shipping) and give them a try, especially if the stores are within driving distance in the event they don't work out. Become one with the boots!!!

  5. Super cute! That red is really pretty on you. I love scarves no matter what season it is. They're also very handy at this time of year to accessorize for a chilly office. :-/
